Organic Impact - What We Do

Organic Impact is a Ugandan registered non-profit organization. It specializes in promoting sustainable methods to enhance the living conditions
of human beings. Our expertise spans sustainable agricultural practices for both crop and livestock production, social entrepreneurship, communication and marketing. Here are some of our activities
with community groups:

1.
Training on sustainable and climate-smart agricultural techniques: We educate farmers on practices that are both environmentally friendly and effective for improving their livelihoods.
2.      Promotion of millet as a climate-smart, nutrition-rich crop: Millet, with its resilience to changing climates and high nutritional value, is a key focus for us. We encourage its cultivation as a means of poverty alleviation, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and better nutrition.
3.      Promotion of improved local poultry as a climate-smart and low-cost livestock enterprise: By advocating for profitable and sustainable production of indigenous poultry, we contribute to sustainable food production and economic empowerment.
4.      Sustainable menstrual hygiene approaches for schools: We work with schools to implement sustainable menstrual hygiene practices, ensuring the well-being of young girls and women. This includes training girls, boys and parents to make and sanitize re-usable sanitary pads.
