Partnerships
We believe that working with other organisations enables us to achieve far more than we could achieve alone. Therefore, we have partnered with the following organisations.
Tororo district local government: Most of our initial activities have been in Tororo district. The advice, support and participation of Tororo district local government authorities has been invaluable.
Squaring the Education Pyramid (STEPi) – in 2021, Organic Impact partnered with STEPi to provide inspirational reading materials to school children in Tororo to promote a reading culture. The partnership also delivered positive parenting talks to parents and primary school children.
National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO): The National Dryland Cereals Research Programme of NARO, based at Serere, provided us with invaluable technical advice as well as seeds of improved millet varieties. This support enabled Organic Impact to kick-start a campaign to get more Ugandans to grow and consume more millets
Millet Advisor: Millet Advisor is an online platform created by Tapas Chandra Roy, an Indian Certified Farm Advisor on Millets. Millet Advisor has a rich collection of informative and inspirational articles and a book on millets. These have been instrumental in inspiring and informing our millet campaign. The website also published an article about our millet journey.
World Canaan Movement: In 2022, Organic Impact partnered with World Canaan Movement, a South Korean based non-profit, to train farmers in Tororo and Kumi on high-yield, low-cost farming methods.
